We have personally seen the positive impact Steve’s content and teaching brings to people, and we are expanding our partnership with STEPS Ministries moving forward. The parenting seminars Steve has conducted at Oak Mountain resulted in fantastic feedback, and they were highly valuable and even life-changing in nature. Parents were passionately positive across the board and cited the practical value, unique insight, and effective and vulnerable manner in which the material was delivered.

Our church is increasing its focus on working with parents of youth. These parents are desperately looking for help to protect their kids against addiction, and STEPS Ministries is a perfect partner for the church in this effort. We want to enable parents to become proactive and help prevent the devastation addiction brings to families. Steve supports the church in this aim with his grace-filled guidance on how we can help our kids develop spiritually, emotionally, and personally and acquire the resilience and confidence to resist the deadly temptations they will inevitably face. I highly commend STEPS Ministries and Steve’s blog articles, as I have been ministered to through them and am looking forward to the new program he is creating for businesses.

It is my pleasure as Missions Pastor at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church to introduce Steve Ward and STEPS Ministries to you. Our church is excited about the ways God is leading and commend Steve’s ministry to you.

Steve has worked with several members of our pastoral team to lay out the strategy and approach for this new ministry. His Board of Directors includes 2 Elders from our church. We are 100% behind him – God has uniquely gifted Steve and uniquely qualified him through his own very painful journey. As he STEPS out in this ministry, we believe God will allow him ever greater impact as he cares for those affected by addiction.

Our church has experienced first-hand the value of Steve’s ministry. He created a special curriculum and has taught a series of parenting classes on subjects related to addiction. We received great feedback from parents both on content and his teaching style. Steve cares deeply about people in need and has a strong commitment to serving others in the community – he has proven that as a faithful, contributing member here at OMPC.

Perimeter Church is rooting for and in support of Steve Ward and STEPS Ministries.

I got to know Steve very well during his recovery from alcohol issues and as he dealt with the struggles his family went through. During that period, he acquired deep, personal experience with addiction and recovery. It often seems that God does some of his best work during our tough times, and that is surely the case with Steve.

Steve was very involved in our Celebrate Recovery program. He led several men’s small groups, each of which involved a year-long study and application of recovery principles. Steve sponsored several other men. He showed an excellent understanding of what it takes to deal with addiction.

In fact, he wrote his book during this period. Even today, I personally read his blog faithfully and find it full of useful wisdom. Steve’s significant business experience and personal skills make him very valuable for a ministry environment. He has all the characteristics to lead an organization well, teach effectively, and work with others in a vulnerable manner to help them take positive steps forward.

Steve cares deeply about people in need and is committed to serving others. We strongly believe that STEPS Ministries will be a huge success!
